hubbardton-forge-fuse-17-inch-outdoor-wall-sconce-306453
Fuse 17" Outdoor Wall Sconce

Clear double glass is held between two sturdy vertical bars, a pairing that gives this outdoor sconce an industrial yet refined look. The narrow, upright form leans mid-century and Craftsman at once, so it suits modern farmhouses and simple contemporary exteriors alike. Seven Coastal finishes, from Coastal Black and Coastal Bronze to Coastal Burnished Steel and Coastal White, are made for salt air.

At 17 inches tall and under 5 inches wide, it is a good size beside a standard entry door, along a garage or on a narrow wall between windows. A pair flanking the door gives a balanced welcome, mounted with the center near 66 inches above the threshold.

One medium-base socket takes a BT15 bulb up to 100 watts, and the clear glass shows off the bulb, so a decorative LED filament style looks good here. Built in aluminum and wet rated, it handles exposed walls, including coastal homes. It is made to order in Vermont.

Designer tip: Mount it so the glass sits slightly above eye level and the bulb never shines straight at visitors.

Handcrafted in the USA by Modern American Blacksmiths. Hubbardton Forge has designed and built its lighting in Vermont since 1974.
