It also dims on 0-10V controls, a fit for homes with professional lighting systems.

Use it in a stairwell, a hallway leading to an exit door, a basement or a mechanical room. At 1.75 inches deep, it fits where recessed cans would hit framing, and it mounts on the surface, so it suits a remodel where you would rather not cut into a finished ceiling.

In everyday use it provides about 1150 lumens of 3000K light with a CRI of 90. It is JA8 listed and ADA compliant, and the wet rating lets it serve a damp basement stair or a covered back entry. Make sure the dimmer on that circuit supports 0-10V control.

Designer tip: Place one at the top of the basement stairs so the way down is lit even when the power fails.

https://www.lampsexpo.com/products/maxim-wafer-7-inch-round-led-surface-mount-3000k-emergency-backup-58784
