Antique-burnished brass is warm and polished nickel cool and crisp.

At 24.25 inches wide and 12.5 inches tall, it suits a bedroom, a living room, a dining room with an 8- or 9-foot ceiling, or a kitchen where a hanging chandelier would come down too far. It gives a room of about 12 by 14 feet a real focal point.

Dedicated LEDs rated at 12 watts each light the discs, and the alabaster turns that light into a warm, even glow. It is damp rated, so a large bath is also suitable. There are no bulbs to change.

Designer tip: Use it over a dining table in a low-ceilinged room where a chandelier would crowd heads.
