It comes in Antique-Burnished Brass, Bronze or Polished Nickel. The slender arm lifts the shade away from the wall, so it reads as a classic candle sconce updated with a fabric shade.

At 6 inches wide and about 14.75 inches tall, projecting 7 inches, it is a versatile size for flanking a bathroom mirror, a bed or a fireplace. Mount it around 60 to 66 inches to center. In a bath, mount a pair 28 to 40 inches apart on either side of the mirror; in a hall, space them about 8 to 10 feet apart.

A candelabra socket takes an LED bulb up to 6.5 watts, and the linen shade softens it into a warm glow. The damp rating means bathrooms are fine. Brass and bronze feel warm and traditional, while polished nickel brightens a white or gray room.

Designer tip: Pair it with the larger Polaris sconces in an adjoining room for a consistent look.
