The symmetry makes it easy to center over furniture or a mirror, and the twin shades give it a gracious, traditional presence.

At 15 inches wide and 16.5 inches tall, projecting 8.25 inches, it suits a spot above a console, a stair wall or a pair flanking a fireplace. It also works over a bathroom mirror. In a dining room, a pair on either side of a buffet adds a warm layer under the chandelier, and in a hallway it brings more light than a single-arm sconce.

Two candelabra sockets each take an LED bulb up to 6.5 watts, and the linen shades soften the light. It is damp rated, so bathrooms are fine. The bronze finish suits traditional and transitional rooms, and the low-wattage LED rating keeps the glow intimate rather than bright.

Designer tip: Center it over a console about 66 inches above the floor.
